Are there particular commercials that annoy you? / myLot

General Electric has this ad on TV about a nerdy guy who gets a job at GE and all his friends are disappointed. Apparently the purpose of the ad is to say that although GE may have a reputation as a stodgy old company, they are really the with-it thing today. I hate that ad! I'm not sure why it annoys me so much. It may be because rather than making me see GE as hip and progressive, it actually plants the idea in my mind that it is old and stodgy. I think worse of that company after having seen the ad they are paying millions of dollars to show again and again than before I saw it. When I don't like an ad, I either turn off the sound and ignore it, or flip the channel. How do you handle annoying commercials?

I hear the commercial from Farmers' Insurance that talks about the "gaps." so "you'll know what your policy actually covers." They are actually saying "what your policy does not cover," but putting the most positive spin on it.

I just change the channel, i hate it when they show it over and over again. as if i don't see it in stores anymore.
