Uh... Sweeba?

Yes, you read that correctly - Sweeba. I was clicking on ads today (and before you tell me PTCs are a waste of time I have made more money on two of those sites than I have on paid-to-write sites combined), and I came across a couple of advertisements for a social networking site that pays called Sweeba. After reading about Bubblews stealing the Sweeble domain from an elderly woman, I can't help but wonder whether they changed to Sweeba and that they shut down Bubblews just to start all over again with another site. Does anyone know about this Sweeba? Are you as suspicious as I am?

The site looks quite suspicious. There are not About Me page, no information about the owners, no TOS, no rules and no FAQ. I joined just to take a peek at the website. It looks nice and simple but still I will advise to tread carefully this time. With no owners in sight, the website is highly suspect.

Interesting speculation, especially since the domain's registration information is private. What I find off-putting is the complete lack of terms of service or any other useful content without registering. No explanation of what the site offers, nothing.

I noticed that. I have the sneaking suspicion it's "them"!

I'm highly skeptical. I read a little about the site and haven't come across anything that impresses me in a good way.

@ivyparkgirl Is it a basic writing site like Bubblews was?

I would say that the sudden emergence of a sight called Sweeba on the heels of the B closing and Arvind still facing litigation over the Sweeble name (last i read) it wouldn't surprise me at all if they had changed the name and were trying to see how many they could bilk into making them another pile of money.

A quick 2 second internet search will show sweeba launched before sweeble. The domain name was picked up off go daddy, I highly doubt the two are related.

@Namelesss That's good to know. It did seem highly coincidental but thanks for taking the 2 seconds to search out the information.

@Namelesss What search terms did you use to find out when Sweeba launched, because I've tried several, and different search engines, and the closest I can come is that the site was fairly new to the web as of 11/02/2015? There is no copyright date on the sites homepage that I could see, nor on the terms of service. I did find a YouTube video about it but the narrative was not in English.

I joined out of curiosity but I found it quite hard to navigate and there are a lot of people there praising the site because they can earn money and not much else.

OK. I am totally confused. At first I thought, yeah totally this is the new B thing they were working on, but now I see the thing about Sweeble...am I just confused due to the name similarity? I am so lost right now...

That is why I thought it was a B thing, the similarity of the names. In reading other responses and their research, I'm not so sure. Waiting to see how people do on that website as some have joined.

@patgalca I joined too. Just for kicks and curiosity. It's less of B/MyLot site and more of an Instagram/Pinterest mashup from what I can tell so far. Due to the suspicion about who's behind it, I don't think I'll spend much time there, though.
