After I read a post here about Christmas songs, I began to think about the Christmas Carol I love best: Joy to the World. For me it has all the miracle that true Christmas brings.
I went to the web to read more about it and discovered that it was written by Georg Friedrich Händel, one of the musical geniouses of the barroque
There are many Christmas Caroals that have been sung for centuries.
What is your favorite and how old is it?

Probably. I´ll check it again. I also found out that the musician lived most of his life in England and is buried in Wesminster Abbey.

Joy to the world is sung by our children in the school and Children's Home every Christmas. But, I sing to myself other carols like Silent Night, O Come All Ye, Hark the Angels sing and so on. I don't feel like Christmas without them.
