Planning to Upgrade my RAM to 8 GB

Since I have my Lenovo Ideapad 100 for a few months now, and it's slowing when I open several tabs and do multi-tasking, I have decided to buy additional RAM. It has 2 GB now and I am sure it is not enough for me. Adding more RAM won't make my laptop faster, but I could multi-task better (based on a tech article I've read last night). For example, I could easily open several tabs at the seem time without having problem (not responding thing etc.) How about you, have you tried upgrading RAM of your laptop/pc?
