My elder daughter loves games so much. She can spend many hours of time to playing some games on her play station. But when I ask her to study on her lessons from her school, she only able for studying about 2 hours.
Do you have some tips to reduce addiction of child on games?

Let her play in moderation. For example, if she completes all her homework, studying, chores so can play games for a certain amount of time and leave a timer. Once the timer is done, she has to turn the game off.
Maybe, since she likes playing with the Playstation - you can discount the controller. When she's done, she has to ask you for the controller ~ can't play without the controller right?
Good luck!!

@srisahara I hope so too! It will only be fair for you + your daughter. You give her a certain amount of time and the timer isn't going to lie! Seems only fair. :)

In high school I only played videogames after I did all my studying. Tell your daughter she can't play videogames until she finishes homework, if she ignores you, unplug the PlayStation and hide the cord where she can't find it and tell her if she wants it back, she has to do her homework first.

Thank you, I think it is a good idea to apply on my daughter. I hope it will help me to cope her addiction for playing games on her PlayStation. Maybe it is my mistake too, I give her a toy that makes her addiction. I am regret, but I can't roll the time, everything is done...

It is a good rule, I think. Unfortunately, I can't apply it to my daughter, she is so sensitive, when I make straight rule she will looks so sad and she does not want to eat or study. I don't know my daughter needs love games so much...

This is a difficult task Srisahara.
You know my son when he was small and still now (34) he still play the games.
But he never failed school. He was very smart and did not study much and still did well.
I could never get him off the games haha
It is an addiction alright.
It did not seem to harm my son.
Is she doing well in school, good grades?
Maybe just try to distract her with some good food instead haha

I know it is hard task, Tiara. But, I have to control her to avoid her addiction become more and more. You are lucky, your son still get good achievement in his school though he addicted on games, but my daughter does not get good achievement in her school though can't said it too bad. I want she think about her lessons in school and get good achievement thank think on her games. I am worry with her future on the school.

I understand what you are going through. My son was always playing his video games, most of which I thought were violent. The only thing that stopped this in our house is when his xbox broke and he couldn't afford to get a new one. he still plays at his friends' houses though. Good luck.

Yes, you are right. When her play-station was broke she will stop playing, but it happens only for a day or two days, after that she will ask me while crying to fixed, she is really not excited when her games player was broken.
