Today at Homestead Speedway near Miami, Florida, Jeff Gordon will drive his last NASCAR Sprint Cup Race. The great thing for Jeff is that he is one of the four drivers in the race competing for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship. What a great way it would be to end his career if he could do it by winning his fifth Cup. Winning the race, too, would cement his legend.
To my way of thinking, Jeff Gordon is one of the last of the old breed of drivers. The new cohort of drivers doesn't impress me much. With Gordon off the track, for me, there will be one less reason to watch.
Are you pulling for Jeff Gordon to finish his career with a championship?

I never followed race car driving. I can imagine the excitement though.
