Alliteration is using two or more words in a sentence in a row that begin with the same letter (or consanant sounds). When this is used in poetry, I'm guessing that it is difficult to make words rhyme. ~*~ Wind whips down the way Coats combat cold. Inside, it is warm. © Stacey Uffelman 11/24/15

I try to use alliteration now and then when I write poetry. I'm not sure why it sounds good, but it does.

It's kind of fun to use, though I can't say I do it often.
