Lunch with colleagues

So what do you do when you're forced to attend a team lunch? Objective: Minimize attention on yourself so that you can come out of the lunch unscathed Strategy: 1. Sit at the opposite end of the most talkative person. This way, you'll be out of sight 90% of the time because the others will be looking in the direction of the talkative one. 2. Smile and nod. This shows that you're part of the team. 3. When asked for your opinion, say something non-descript like "I agree..." and parry that question towards the talkative one. 4. Excuse yourself as soon as the designated lunch hour ends. Needing to meet deadlines is always an imperative to go back to your desk.
