Pre-medicated Food

There are times when I think my sister gets a little scatterbrained. I know she claims to be scatterbrained, but I usually say something reassuring. I had a hard time thinking of something reassuring yesterday. On our way to Thanksgiving dinner, she had to stop at the local drugstore because she needed to get some more antacid pills. Seems she was going to take her last one before we left for dinner, but it disappeared. For some reason, she decided to take her last antacid pill while she was preparing a huge pan of stuffing to take to the Thanksgiving dinner. She said it was very possible that the pill had rolled into the sink and down the drain. But it was also possible that she dropped it into the stuffing. The only reassuring thing I could think to say was that, at the very worst, more people would find their dinners settling well and the more stuffing they ate, the less heartburn they would suffer. Today's dinner is being prepared by my brother. So far, all he has done is nearly cut his finger off. But he isn't pre-medicating the food. I keep thinking that pizza might be a good option for these family meals.

Could have been much worse than an antacid.

It could have been. She's on experimental chemotherapy and it's pills she takes at home.

Well I hope you don't find your brother's finger in your food - But perhaps having an antacid topping on a pizza would be a good thing!

Pizza is one thing that might be enhanced by antacid in the mix.

That's not to scary about dropping a Zantac or similar - but if she is that scatterbrained what else has she drooped into food that you don't know about!?

This is why we try not to let her cook for us anymore.

@Rollo1 I would hope so! LOL. I remember one year my sister dropped the cooked turkey on the floor - still don't know if she told anyone - I wasn't there so it didn't matter to me.

In a few years, it will be the center of every family dinner. But we have to wait to make sure everyone survives, first.

@Rollo1 that is so funny. I wonder you got the stuffing with the little extra ingredient.

I can definitely see why pizza would be a good option . Thankfully it was only anti-acid and not anything prescription that would have caused someone to get sick.

now that is really funny at least it wasn't something like a sleeping pill that fell in the food everyone yawning and feeling sleepy at the dinner table. Lol maybe pizza is a better alternative.
