A little snippet I found from my college years, oh how I miss writing papers..
A lump forms in my throat, and my hands begin to sweat. The seemingly
rhythmic bursts of light coming from the television set fills the dark room. I can almost hear the cries for help from a world away. As I witness the senseless killing unfold before my eyes, I am paralyzed with the thought of what more may come of this. And then it hits me, I am looking at the city of Baghdad.
Wars have been going on since the beginning of time, be it religion, love, or most often, greed. Much blood has been shed to fight for what one person or even a nation believes in. Although our government believes the occupancy of Iraq is in the best interest of its people, clearly our soldiers need to evacuate immediately for their own good as well as the people of Iraq.

Wars are started by people intent on forcing their ideology on others, be it political or religious, or people intent on taking things from others, be it material goods or intangibles like freedom. In times past the winners wrote the history. These days, in this information age, both sides have an opportunity to spin the story. The truth is lost in flood of self-serving propaganda.

It really is crazy how things work out cause of the moment in time and war is still the work that's still being done and no end in sight.
