One unlucky evening

One evening, I was going home from work. While in the train, I considered alighting earlier to buy something from the shop. There was a light rain falling. I really did not want to detour and buy anything, but I still alighted a few stops earlier. In the end, the shop was closed because of the bad weather, and the owner probably went back home to sleep. It was a wasted trip. The bus took a long time coming too. I had to wait for a longer time for the bus because of the traffic jam. Everyone was driving slowly since the road was wet. In the end, I wasted a whole hour for nothing. By the time I reached home, I was cold, hungry and feeling miserable. That was one unforgettable unlucky evening.
