Save the Children

My heart just hurts any time I read another story about parents who are depressed, getting divorced, separating or partners in the same situations are killing not only themselves but their children as well. All of those children deserved the right to live out their lives. The worst thing is that these children trusted their parents and loved and honored them and suddenly it all turns to horror as that parent kills them. For most of these children life had just begun and they were learning that life is wonderful.
It doesn’t matter what kind of beliefs we all have what does matter is that this is the greatest sin that these parents could have committed. I for one feel that if they felt they couldn’t go on then it was up to them to seek help in any way they could or to kill themselves but hey, leave the innocent children alone. I feel that if you paint a picture of hell existing below the Devil has had a lot of company lately and I’m sure that as thrilled as he was in having the population of Hell rise by now he is tired of all of these people coming on down. As for those innocent children I wouldn’t be surprised if they appeared at Heaven’s gate with sad and troubled eyes only to announce to the angels who greeted them that their mommy or daddy killed them so they must have been very bad.
The reason I am discussing this is that as Christmas nears I remember being an angel in my Latvian school plays. That was pretend and I loved dressing up as an angel but these poor innocents become real angels. You cannot imagine how angry this makes me but I am only one person and all I can do is express my feelings in the hope that more and more people will become aware of these tragedies. Perhaps then if anyone notices or sees a troubled parent with children they will reach out or provide help and notify the proper authorities so that other children will be saved. It is also unfortunate that these kinds of problems surface more often at Christmas time because people start to feel really depressed.
Little me as an angel

clearly someone in such despair isn't going to think straight about what life the child could still go on to live

we so rarely see the warning signs of such tragedies until it is too late

How horrible to come home and find your whole family wiped out.

How sad that she took not only her own life but that of her baby son.

@Marcyaz yes it was an awful thing to do - can't imagine what was going on in her mind
