And I had 2 featured posts… (My post-Bubblews post)

I was happy because at long last, before I reached my 3rd bubbling anniversary, the staff finally “voted 2 of my posts to be featured”. These are “Remembering Lito (Someone who cares)” and “Switching off”. These 2 posts did not receive massive likes or comments but the fact that these posts got the staff’s nod, made me a complete bubbler. My enthusiasm did not wane a bit, even though I knew (but refused to admit) that the ship was sinking. I was planning to make a third post--- it always comes in three’s, but alas and alack! The ship sank. So, I floated and waved my $14.20 goodbye. I am however grateful to the site because it helped me hone my writing skills. Are you appreciative of Bubblews despite its early ‘demise’?

Yes, I loved Bubblews and it did the same for me - allowed me to explore my writing ability, such as it is. I was pleased when I saw that your posts were featured, well done.

But I appreciate you more my dear, because you have so many featured posts, and my eyes were always seeing those outlined-in-green titles of your posts there. well done to you too.

No. If you mean some of the folks that posted there yes that is different. But people are not Bubblews. Bubblews is a company made up of a few people that in my mind did not care much about what they created.

I had none and I was there practically everyday for 30 months. When it got really quiet and empty toward the end, I thought my bubble would have a better chance of being picked up - but still never happened. Oh well...

I think they pick the posts as featured randomly. I wonder too why some plagiarized posts get featured?!

it's awful to know that from jan to mid-nov you only earned $14 (less than 1/3 of $50) even if you remained active on the site, while it took others 6 mos. (though some got paid, some didn't).

it turned useless when the payment issues were not right for the bubblers. when they did not pay our dues, I think they were already on the verge of sinking.

Good to hear that your posts were featured, though I haven't visit Bubblews for quite a long time before it was closed down. Yes, I do appreciate what I have gained from Bubblews. Though I have a great amount of unpaid payment, I did earn a lot from the site too. I have never earn such money online before. Besides the money, I have really learned a lot from the site, got support and advice from others, and made some friends from all around the world. It also helped me to improve my English and writing skill too. I did gain a lot from the site.

@ridingbet Yes, I used to write my personal blog in Chinese (my first language). Ever since I started to write in Bubblews, I just always write in English and even think in English as I thought of any writing ideas. I think it's a good practice for those who want to learn English as their foreign language. I even thought if Bubblews can last for years, my son can write in Bubblews when he grows older as well.

joining a site like MyLot and Bubblews improves our writing skills and our imagination too. We write what and how we feel.

I had 13 unpaid redemptions last 2013, and a few more when the minimum was $50. I am still grateful to him because I was able to survive and buy me my medications during those summer days that I had no work.

@SIMPLYD I am grateful to them. I am now enjoying my socialization in sites like this one now. if not for them, then I would not have found my "innate" (argh!!!) talent in writing. (argh).

I got a lot from it while it was at its peak and Mylot is certainly benefitting from ex-Bubblews users looking for a place to further develop their talents so it isn't all bad.

this site was second to bubblews to some. although I was advised by @SIMPLYD to come here, my being a dedicated and committed bubbler closed my eyes and made my ears deaf, until the ship sank...finally!

I appreciated their paying me all my redemptions that fell due. But the $33.75 in my bank before Bubblews shut down, that I painstakingly earned for 11 months, was gold to me and that due to anger and disappointment I even WISHED Arvind to turn into a mouse!

I was on other writing sites before I came to bubblews. I don't have nostalgic thoughts remembering it. I was treated badly. My account was deleted although I hadn't vioated a rule. Although I asked several times to explain why, I was never honoured with an answer. I know six other members to whom the same happened. I opened another account because I liked the community. I got featured several times but this didn't make me proud. So many inane posts were featured. It was a shame. It was embrrassing to be in their company.

@MALUSE Mushrooms. Keep them in the dark, give them plenty of horseshit. But it served a purpose, even if the bulk of that purpose remains unclear...

@ridingbet As I've mentioned this happened to other members, too. None of them ever got an explanation. The only reason I can think of is that Arvind wanted to create a kind of cult. If you've read his posts, you know that he suffers from a Messiah complex. He saw himself as the leader and wanted obedient followers. There were members whose posts were repeatedly featured althought they weren't worth it. Then there were members whose accounts were deleted without a reason. Keep your followers on their toes. Let them dance to your whistle. Keep them in the dark if you love them or despise them. Something along these lines.

i wonder till now why your account was deleted. you are an honest-to-goodness individual, and you speak straight to the point. maybe there were some disgruntled bubblers who flagged your account?

To be honest, I can't say I'm appreciative of Bubblews. It was a business relationship. It was a forum for writing. I like to write. They paid me for most of my writing. They only owe me $200. I did meet many cool people, many of whom I still interact with here. I'm certainly appreciative of those writers. And perhaps of Bubblews for getting us all together. If the site was helpful to you and your writing, then it served a purpose. But I'm more appreciative of you and the rest of "us" than of Bubblews.

Congratulations on getting featured. I have never had any of my over 1000 posts featured but I got lots of views and likes and comments. I do appreciate the earnings that I received from Bubblews from 2013 to 2014. Deep in my heart, I knew that it was too good to last but it was good while it lasted. At least I made quite a lot of money; the most I've ever made in any writing websites.

@ridingbet I can't really remember when I joined Bubblews but I'm sure I was there for more than a year. I made a lot of money. They just couldn't care less about plagiarism. That is why I'm convinced thst it was all just a scam.

I think you left the site before you reached your first anniversary, am I right? I read your posts there, until I saw you hibernated in a way. featured posts should bring the bubblers out of their shells, but plagiarized posts also appeared, and that made me disgusted (how and why can they not eradicate plagiarism?).
