I was trying to figure out why there were so many comments and likes on one of my posts. I mean I've been doing okay on here and people do interact with me if I interact with them but this one post has just been getting A TON of attention!
I don't know if I'm wording this correctly but this post is on the "front page" right now. It think this is the first time I've experienced this and let me tell you... I don't hate it. 
Has any of your posts been featured on the "front page" on here? I'm referring to it being higher up on the list of posts under the "Explore" tab.

@Bellatricks It will have perpetuated the popularity, but as I mentioned it must have been popular to begin with.

According to my knowledge we just can't see our own posts under any category. In the newer version I have never seen my own posts.
However, others (read our followers) could see our posts in more than one category.

@Bellatricks - I started a post today. After reading your response, I browsed the category 'top rated' and surprisingly, I could find the post which I started today.
So I stand corrected.
It is possible that mylot admin have lately started this feature, which allows us to see our own posts.

That's possible I haven't heard of any featured posts, but it could be listed as something else maybe.

I don't check those sections out enough to see if any are there a lot or not. I had a lot if activity on one of my posts, but I'm sure ti didn't make it to any lists beforehand. I think many were just interested in the topic in one way or another.
