My Dad Tried To Punch His Own Reflection....

So my dad has this job where every 2 weeks he goes away to the country. So one week at home, one week away, next week back home so on and so forth. EVERY time he comes back home, he tells me a story about something stupid he did or how he hurt himself. And trust me there has been so many hilarious stories but my most absolute favourite is he was laying down in his bed at the hotel he was staying in. His bed was next to a big mirror. He fell asleep for a little bit then woke up. As he stood up he was still half asleep. He noticed someone walking towards him and he got scared so he swung his arm to hit the "intruder" only to find that he was swinging at his own reflection. I laughed so hard for a long time and I have been laughing the whole time while typing this. It might not be as funny to you guys because he is my dad but I thought I would still share. But would also like to know if you have anyone in your family who is accident prone or often does silly things?

I agree that is very funny. Even though I don't know your father, I can see how it could happen. It's a good thing that the mirror wasn't close enough to where he hit it and cut himself.

@VivaLaDani13 I'm glad he wasn't hurt either. But, I just can't get the picture out of my mind of him doing this...lol.

@simone10 Every time I think about it I laugh a lot. So you answering this has reminded me again HAHA If I remember correctly, he told me that when he was about to swing his arm he yelled out "Come here you b***ard!" hahahahaha!

Fortunately he has enough sense not to break the mirror! I think he will have a tough time explaining to the management about the broken mirror.

hahaha I wonder how the manager would have taken the news if my dad did break the mirror! Thank you for answering.

Haha!! This was funny!! Imagine his state of mind when he swung for the 'intruder' and then after he realized it was his reflection!! In my family, no one is prone to such silly things but when I was 14 I once dreamt that I was drowning and I fell off my bed while sleeping, and when my sleep broke, I started waving my arms and legs trying to 'get out of the water' LOL

I think we all do silly things once in a while. I can't think of any that come to mine at the moment.

@VivaLaDani13 You know there was a funny incident in my childhood. Mom was making bread and I was watching and helping. I had never helped with bread baking before. Mom told me to put the cake of yeast into the warm water. A short while later she told me to put the yeast into the dough, so I tried to fish the yeast out of the water. She never laughed so hard. Me I was embarrassed, but did laugh in the end after I poured the warm water yeast mixture into the dough.
