I am very sure that I had heard this song, The Wedding, in radio when I was young. However, that was a time when I really did not know much about the singers, and being poor, did not have the money to buy albums. It has been a long time since I heard The Wedding. The Wedding is still best sang by Julie Rogers. We are very fortunate to have the internet, and we can listen to songs from the 50s, 60s and so on. The Wedding was a hit way back in the 60s. I can understand why this particular song has such an appeal with the audience then, and I feel sure will have the same appeal with people now. This song sang of the desire to get married to the man whom she loves very much. The song sang of the presence of relatives and the happiness that the relatives feel for the married couple. It is a very nice, and cozy song that reminds you of church wedding.
