Melting, Musing and Pondering...

These have been busy times and now it is December it is going to be even busier. I am behind on everything. Can a person be behind on being behind?
All I do know is, I am melting, I can't remember a summer this hot or humid. I am mosquito hunting at 3:00am, mixing potions that are supposed to repel them, yeah, sure. And I wish I had more time to be here on this site.
I miss reading a good book and I don't know how I am going to survive all the baking I will be doing this month. It is like I am in an oven while standing baking in front of an oven, so to speak.
I wonder why some people seem to change in the blink of an eye, and go from always being there for a person, to seemingly forgetting that they exist all of a sudden? Well, I have always found it quite easy to forget people who forget me. Ah, my 1:55am musings, yes, that is what I was pondering early this morning. Have a fantastic rest of this week everyone.

lol I think the heat is getting to you!! Though I can't imagine doing Christmas baking in summer heat, sounds so alien to me. I would want to eat lighter food!! I hope you catch up but even if you don't it all works out in the end.

One of my problems is that I don't forget ppl who forget me, I tend to worry about them. Like, I don't talk to them anymore, I don't give them more chances then I think they will give evidence of change (or in some cases, evidence that they care about anything/one then themselves)...but, I do still worry about ppl. Mmmm, that said, I do worry about you too...cause you seem still stressed over maybe some things ppl you were stressed about before:/.

Hello there @HebrewGreekStudies :-). I am moody, I think I have told you that, add heat to it and I am extra moody ;-), so don't worry, though I appreciate you care. Thing is, I will let people get to me and wonder about them only so long before I say, no more. When someone who has always been reliable seems to turn their back on me, I will try once, maybe twice to be there for them, give them a chance and if I feel that they cannot be bothered to be there for me anymore, then I step back. I do wonder why they changed, but I will not run after them. What time is it by you? Are you over the flu yet? Feeling better?

@HebrewGreekStudies , sorry you are still struggling with the flu, are you getting enough rest? You must try to rest as much as possible, and not go out in the cold unless you absolutely have to, and then wrap up warm. Try some aspirin or paracetamol for the pain, oh and try to drink some orange juice, also drink water with some lemon in it. You need to boost your immune system.

I would blame it on the heat. I get so lazy and lackluster when its hot. Thankfully that happens for a very short time in summer here and I usually spend it in the mountains camping where its cooler. Amazing that you can put thoughts to paper (or cyberspace) that late at night, I'm out by 11PM...

I do blame it on the heat :-). I always loved summer, but this is a new level of heat for my Province. Hehe, I'm a night owl, and the heat makes it near impossible to sleep too, so I write, or uhm, ramble till I can't see straight and face plant. :-D

@bluesa Good for you and I love what you write so that is not a problem. I can't even imagine the heat in South Africa... and I'm old enough I can't stay awake anymore after 11PM

@PainsOnSlate , it is healthy that you are asleep before midnight, they say that is the best sleep, my doctor is constantly telling me I am doing my body no good with my night owl ways, but it is already after midnight here and sweltering, so here I sit. Thank you for liking my ramblings. :-)

I found your post to be very intriguing! How do you make a potion to repel them? Do you have some equipment for that?

Unfortunately I was just being theatrical, saying I was basically trying to use ingredients I have at home to make repellent that is non-toxic. So, potion, just sounds more dramatic than home-made repellent. No equipment needed. :-)

Hehehe, glad you had a chuckle, yeah, this heat and me are not seeing eye to eye :-), making me grumpy and then. I think I have gotten 11 hours sleep in three nights between the mosquitoes and heat. Thanks, I will try. Take care too. :-)

Yes, it has happened, but, I will handle it, it is just a puzzle why some people change so. I do know I have to protect myself against that change and so if they have gone cold on me, I will go cold on them. Thank you, Janet, they say we might get some relief from this terrible heat on Sunday. Enjoy the time you have in Spain further @jaboUK . :-)

just to kill all these mosquitoes.
