Working from home

Prior to the birth of my youngest child, I was working at an accounting firm doing years end financials for small companies. Last month a former co-worker of mine approached me to do some bookkeeping from my home.
All I can say is that working from home isn't the best option for me. I tend to lack motivation, and being at home tends to lead to distractions that are far too tempting.
Currently I am less than 50% done this companies books. I really need to buckle down and get it completed so that I have actually earned the retainer fee that was paid to me.
Today is already a bust, so tomorrow I will sit my butt down at the computer and make myself work. Hopefully it won't take too much longer to complete, otherwise my former co-worker will get really mad.

I can see how working from home can have positives and negatives. It sounds like you would prefer to be back in an office setting.

By working in an office setting, the distractions that come with being at home would be gone. But I have the disadvantage that sitting at a desk for 8 hours would leave me in an awful lot of pain.

I am hoping to make a big dent in it tomorrow. Hopefully I can figure it out.

Well I hope you can buckle down and get this completed for your former co worker.
