Day 21 – Who’s Who 1 Chronicles 27 Every government has a cabinet, counselors, advisors, heads of military, and secret service to keep presidents and monarchs safe from harm. David had them too, and the list of who’s who for David’s service is extensive and covers every occupation in the kingdom. As Christians we belong to the body of Christ. We too have a position of importance within the body. Romans 12:4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. (KJV) Through Jesus Christ we are all linked together and serve in the body of Christ. The gifts and talents given us the day we were born have been honed throughout our lives so that when the time came when we accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, we were also ready to assume our position within the body of Christ. Just as David had captains over his army, priests over the temple and people over his livestock and crops, we too serve a purpose within the body of Christ. If you don’t know your position, consider the gifts and talents God has given you and you will soon know where you fit. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for giving me a position within the body of Christ. Help me to serve You with all diligence and integrity. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. With some people you can point it out to them about God but they still do not have a clue.
