We just had our dinner tonight - Putu mayam. I just found out in Wikipedia, it's called Idiyappam in Tamil. As Malaysia is a multi-racial country, we can always try out food from different races. Almost every evening, there's a Indian man riding a motorcycle with a cart, selling this Putu mayam. It's made of rice noodles, and we eat it with sugar and grated coconut. We haven't been eating this for months. Just now as we left the park, the man who is selling Putu mayam just passed by, so we stopped him and bought 10 slices. My children like to eat it, even without sugar and grated coconut. My children always said, we should make this ourselves one day. They always thought we can DIY everything. Have you tried Putu mayam before? Do you like it? Image: Putu mayam sprinkled with brown sugar and grated coconut.

Wow, your children are really very keen to learn. I think if they continue at this rate, they will become great chef 5 years later. It is good to let them learn, and experiment with different food.

Too bad, their mom is too lazy! If I am more hardworking, perhaps it'd be better. They always think we can do everything by ourselves, I really need to write down what they want to do, and we will learn and do it together. We do bake cakes and bread before, but not quite successful, though they still enjoy eating the products.

I am not sure if you can get this dish in Indian restaurant. It looks like a snack. Germany reminds me of the first Waldorf school.
