i was just watching a news item in my TV in two cities. one in Africa and another in USA and i was wondering why is it that in African city there are many people walking on the streets while in USA there are few people. What kind of economic activities are taking place in this usa city compared to African city? what do you think of this?

That is because in the US, people have cars, and they drive to all their destination. Many Africans do not have personal cars, so they walk or take public transportation. In the past, Chinese cycle because they cannot afford cars. Now they can afford cars, so you see more cars than bicycle, and more bicycles than people walking.

if everyone in africa owned a car going into the city center will be really really serious trouble.traffic jams will be everywhere.i guess an efficient transport systm should be in place
