In each travel or tour in my country, I always get fried rice and fried rice again for breakfast in hotel or hostel where I stay. It is really boring. I wonder...is fried rice standard menu of breakfast for all hotel and hostel? Do they have a agreement about this?
How your experience when you on travel or tour?

It is so different, I think. But, fried egg is also necessarily provided with fried rice...Yes, egg is very good for breakfast...

Yes, rice is a cheap meal. For us rice is our main food, so we eat rice everyday, even for breakfast, lunch and dinner we eat rice...

@srisahara I am fine with having rice for lunch and dinner, but not breakfast. To me, it's too heavy to have rice in the morning, though I know some people here also enjoy eating rice in the morning.
But I am fine with Nasi Lemak in the morning, it seems like a very common breakfast here.

@kaka135 Yes, you are right, for some people in around of my country like your country, Singapore, Brunei, Hongkong and Taiwan, have breakfast with rice is too heavy.
In my country Nasi Lemak or Nasi Kuning is sold in traditional market, it also good for breakfast here. And occasionally, it is served in celebration. I love Nasi Lemak or Nasi Kuning...

If I am not mistaken, we usually have sausage, ham or omelette for breakfast, and buns here. I remember when I visited Taiwan, there were porridge and some dishes for breakfast. I don't remember having fried rice for breakfast when I go traveling.
I guess perhaps there are some standard menus for almost all hotels in each country. Is everyday the same style of fried rice or different?

@srisahara Besides Nasi Lemak, I think it's not too common to have breakfast with rice here. I haven't been many hotels here that come with breakfast, but usually I think they serve Western breakfast, perhaps it caters more for foreigners.

I don't stay in hotel often but I have different experience. I just got two hotels that serve friend rice for breakfast. the rest are actually buffet that you can actually pick whatever that is served. usually there are bread and varies of jams and butter, eggs, rice, fried chicken, noodle. not so many menus for breakfast. still breakfast in hotel sucks.

@srisahara it is pretty common here to have bread, at least in the hotel I stayed at. lol
noodle I found is not like the noodle made of wheat or flour it's noodle that comes from rice. what you may call it, oh yes, vermicelli I think.

It must be the region. I guess I would get tired of it, too, if I had it so much. I did make some today with my leftover steak from last night.
