I do understand that people eat meat and in the Winter time its common for people to deer hunt. But I live in a neighborhood that is still in the city limits but this is the country also. I was awaken first by my dog beside my bedroom window and next two shotgun blasts. I do not understand why these people cant hunt in their own backyards and not next to my house. I hate to call the police but this is getting scary. I am afraid that one day I will be waking up in heaven! Do people hunt like this by your house?

Thankfully no, no hunters. I would call the police that is just plain crazy.

Hunters here need permits and are only allowed in some restricted areas in the woods. Call the police.

As far as I know its not allowed in populated places and hunters need permission to be on your land. I would be calling the police.

Thankfully for me all my neighbors are a little away from me but still, you never know when a stray bullet is coming your way @andriaperry . The weekends here sound like a shooting range though and sometimes it sounds like cannons for crying out loud.

I live in the city, so no, nobody hunts near my house, but we do have hunting season, though it's over now.

They can't - they have to be a certain number of feet away from homes/schools, etc. Call the cops/sheriff. We live in the country so hunting is all around but no one has ventured onto our 8 acres.

Well, I do have to think about where I go walking during hunting season. But no one has hunted right near my house so far.
