Her husband left her. This was what a common friend of ours told me, while in a gathering. What? Where is now the "for better or for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health..." Just because she can't cook, her husband left her? Somebody is kidding me!

Ha! Ha! Ha! I can cook, even some of my dearly beloved's fav meals like afritada, but he cooks better. And he doesn't see my "less favored" cooking mar our love for each other. Chos!

Surely there must be more to it than that? You don't stop loving someone because they can't cook

I think, there is no a husband will leave his wife because she can't cook. Whether they can buy some foods at outside?

It should be better for the husband to cook together and glance at a recipe. It is an injury left by a husband just because of a shallow reason.A wife can gradually learned through a friend. It sounds so unfair and injustice.Where is love?

I really find it the same way po. If he loves his wife, even if she can't cook well, he could have done the cooking himself. The problem is, he doesn't know how too!

It doesn't seem like a very good reason to me. Luckily my husband can cook and he also puts up with my cooking.

You're right, my friend. I think there should be a give & take in any relationships. He is good at cooking, then he can allow his wife to enjoy it. Maybe the wife is good at housekeeping, then she should let her husband enjoy the comfort of their home! Gosh! Am getting emotional!

@KnehKnah I learned well from my parents. They both pitched in and did what needed to be done. My dad was not a good cook, but he just about always made breakfast for us every week day morning. Breakfast he could do.

@paigea You're lucky ! And I admire your Dad! That's what I said to a friend. Whatever "little thing" you can do to help your spouse, do it!

What a shallow reason! Did he marry the woman for his stomach to be satisfied only?

That must not be the real reason. He would have done it anyway, this was just a silly excuse.

I guess it depends on whether he knew that before he married her? How long were they married? I know a lot of women who don't cook, their husband's cook, I think he should have learned.

this is not good reason to leave anyone because we have to see our partner heart while love not what is able to cook or not and this is really silly reason nay be something else behind it.

Im pretty sure there is something wrong why he left her and not only because she cant cook. true love should have no boundaries. he/she should love their partners at their worse.
