She doesn't care

Today when my son's girlfriend came she brought this young girl with her. Apparently it is her son's girlfriend. She is a nice little girl from what I can see. It is the first time I met her. She kept asking what time the buses ran because she is in a group home. She is 18 years old. The rules are that she get home at 7pm or there are consequences. Anyhow the girl was so nervous, she was going to get into trouble. My son's girlfriend kept telling her to relax she is 18 she can do what she wants. But she is in the group home and she has to abide by the rules of home. I called the lady to tell her that Tanisha would be a little late and the woman was happy I called, she was trying to get into touch with the girl all day. Then she didn't have bus fare and was going to jump the metro booth. I told her she was not doing anything illegal under my watch and I gave her 4.00 to take the bus. You should have seen the girl she was so worried.

The mother should have known better! Those homes do not play and she will lose any priveleges that she has and if she is in some sort of legal trouble it could make her stay longer in the group home. I am glad you were kind enough to call the group home and give her the cash to take the bus.

It does nto sound as if your son's girlfriend cares for her son's girlfriend. WHy would she bring her round if she knew that the girl could potentially get in trouble if late.

I actually think all those things show character, she was worried about following the rules!

Yes she is a nice little girl she ended in a group home because her father is no good and didn't want her.

What mother would tell a child living with rules that the rules aren't necessary. I think the child is smarter than her mother. Good for you for giving her money to get home.
