I got a terrific deal on my Boston Butt this morning. I ran across the deal quite by accident.
I went to Winn-Dixie to pick up a few things and heard an announcement that there was a deal on Pork Boston Butt. If you bought $30 worth of groceries you could get a Boston Pork Butt for $5 no matter what the size.
I couldn't pass up this deal. I picked up a 9.770lb. roast that originally cost $23.45 and only had to pay $5 for it.
Even better, they cut it into country style ribs for free. I got 27 ribs out of it.
I am serving ribs for Christmas. If I had to buy them I would usually pay about $20 - $25 for the amount I need.
This was indeed my lucky day.

@AbbyGreenhill It's actually a roast. They cut country style ribs from it. It's delicious.

@HazySue I can't eat pork, that explains why I don't know what it is.

@AbbyGreenhill I eat very little of it. It has to be a special occasion for it to be part of the menu.

I always tell my wife to be more practical. . . I keep insisting that we should buy groceries not from Safeway but from The Real Canadian Superstore.
