Last Sunday before Christmas

It’s the last Sunday before Christmas. Many things remain to be done before the birthday of Our Lord. Preparing ingredients for the family cake will start tomorrow. We bake many extra cakes to give them to some close friends. Apart from the sundry jobs in the family I will have to prepare the choir for the midnight and morning services. I have only four days in hand and I am faced with some practical difficulties. Ours is a multilingual parish and the singers are scattered away from the church. Whatever may be the hurdles, I’ll have to make the singing as good as possible for Christmas services.

I feel like a failure , spending my last Sunday before Christmas hustling to get the laundry done :(. It took me that long to get to it because I have to spend time with my folks through video chat the whole day yesterday as we will have to spend Christmas 13,000 miles apart. My dad is a lay minister and I hope they have a very good Christmas after the service.
