Had Chicken Tikki Masala for the First Time

I shopped at a small grocery store last night that was a little out of the way. I always liked the way it looked and finally went inside. They had a nice variety of ready-cooked meals. Since I was going against my usual routine, I decided to try a dish I never had before. In fact, it was one that I never even heard of before-- chicken tikki masala. It included a side dish of roasted cauliflower and rice. As I heated it up at home, I wondered if I would like it as it had an unusual aroma. I had a very pleasant surprise-- it was delicious! I mean really good. I wondered why I had not heard of this dish before. It had an exotic-sounding name, so I wondered what country it was from. I looked it up online and was surprised to learn that it is actually a very popular English dish. It is said to have been accidentally created at an Indian restaurant in England to please a very particular patron. Whatever the circumstances, I'm glad it was created as it is an awesome dish. I will surely go out of my way to have this again. Have you ever had chicken tikki masala?
