This is something of a family tradition for us.
Every Christmas Eve we have a joint of belly pork , slow roasted in the oven and a couple of bottles of mulled wine.
The roast pork is because it was what my Grandad liked to have on Christmas Eve and the mulled wine is something which I used to make ( but now let the store make it for me !).
Do you have any family traditions such as this ?

When my parents were alive we always had pizza on Christmas Eve and turkey on Christmas Day. I always make a turkey on Christmas Day.

I don't think I have ever had either of those. My family doesn't really have any traditions. Since my family has gotten so small sometimes we will have snack nights. Where we will make a bunch of snacks and appetizers and play games or watch movies.
