"Every Dog Has its Day!" Hugo the dog, pondered at this. Hugo is a dog. But not just any old dog! Hugo is da Boss of all the dogs. Anyway, now is not the time to delve into the specifics. Hugo is on his walking duties. He's out walking his human pet and tried to look the best to blend in. Silly humans, they think they are in control. Well.. Let's look at the facts shall we. Hugo's pet takes care of Hugo's food, drinks, lodging, toiletry, and comfort. In exchange for these daily walks, it seems to be a small reward for such loyalty. Hugo sighed. Maybe when his day comes.. he'll spare this particular pet a thought. For now, let's get the walks over 'n' done with. So he could get back to a more pressing matter of taking over da world... @WorDazza Your turn next! Do you have a dog? Please leave the description of your dog in the comments and we'll make sure he/she get's the 30min of fame in our new blockbuster! For those of you with cats, please do the same. :) For those of you who have goldfish.. we only have erm extra spots free if you're interested. xD Addendum: For those of you without pets.. well.. time to nudge Hugo's boss and see if he could get in a good word for ya. xD

I'm more convinced that cats are running the World than dogs - when they get opposable thumbs we have had it

I used to have pets, lots of them. But in my retirement, I decided to no longer be in the poo business. After all, if one has pets, one has to deal with their poo.

Yep, I think cats are great for that, they are very free roaming, other than cat fur everywhere not that much mess

I have no pets. So I don't have any idea who's the boss, but if I had one it would be like my older brother or sister whom I'd like to have everything and make it spoilt rotten.

Baloo - big, blue with a bad attitude and a lot of friends in the village. He has no tail. Bagheera - the dark destroyer. He's a little black panther with the heart of a lion and a love of cuddles Pandora - the warrior princess in silver tabby fur. All three are kitties

No fur balls here except grand-dogs. I spend enough time picking up dog hair while not owning one so there is NO chance a fur ball will join this house...

My doggie Bulldog was hit and run by a bad motorist.I cried so hard and stoned the man .He went back and threw him handful of sand that made him blind for awhile. He's getting wild and his motor made a hard hit on the No Parking Stand, so hello man? I told him with a paint smile, pay my bulldog ...and saw his tooth dropped in the sand.Bravo!

@Drosophila My doggie passed away from severe injuries. I cried so hard. My father blottered it, jailed the motorist and paid me P 100,000 Philippine money, or else he will be jailed for 3 years.

At this time in my life I do not have any pets but for years I always had cats, dogs, fish, birds, hamster's and gerbils. The last group of animals I had at the same time was 1 huge Newfoundland that I rescued from a shelter and being she was not taken care of she weighed about 180 pounds. At the same time I had a Newfoundland/black lab mix, a sheltie, and 3 cats. Since I was a kid I always brought home stray dogs and my daughter ended up being like me. After all the animals were gone we moved from the north in the USA to the south and don't have room for any more animals. We go away to often and it wouldn't be fair to the animals.

@ramapo17 oh ya! absolutely, my Ma does something for the plants, she ripped up towels in 2cm pieces and dip them into a bucket of water with one end, and flower pot the other, the water end up watering themselves

Oh ya having animals do mean they need looking after all the time.

@Drosophila Yes they do and at 73 years old and retired, my husband and I travel a lot and it wouldn't be fair to have someone else take care of my animals. That is why I don't have any, any more. Finding someone to take care of my plants when we go away is enough problems.

We were done with pets, but a cat has adopted us. He lived outside all summer; now he has a bed in the heated garage for the winter. But as I type he is purring at my feet. Oh no! I think we have a pet again.
