So, basically i am from India and i am proud of it but today something happened that lowered the dignity of my country. We all know that we are known by our countries and vice versa but right now i feel disgusted about the fact that some people do not deserve this place.. Today I went to work on my usual hours after spending 4 hours in the office i went for lunch where i overheard a lady telling her daughter to dress up decently ( wear salwar kammez instead of jeans and top) so that she cannot get RAPED.. and i was like are you serious??? you are asking your daughter to dress up decently while she wasn't wearing any indecent clothes instead you should teach your son to respect girls and to help them when they are in trouble. This society needs change its high time now..STOP BEING HYPOCRITES.. one cannot blame girls for everything. We need to get out from this stereotype thinking!

I agree. Women are not responsible for rape, it is the monsters who pursue them and what they wear is irrelevant. The problem is that there are even many in the Judiciary that think what women wear is the cause of the problem.

I never understood how many blame the victim and not the criminal. It's downright shameful.

This crime appears to be escalating in India; am I right? I wonder if these crimes are not orchestrated & paid for by The Establishment to target individual families whom they want to make an example of? In which case, it matters not what one wears. PM Modi was right... the number 1 issue is still poverty. Not just poverty of the purse, but of spirit. When a groups of boys is approached by someone offering US$1M to gang-rape a certain girl, they should turn on that guy instead of the girl. This stuff needs to be reported to an independent press & exposed, not hidden.

Yes that teaches girls and boys a very poor lesson. No matter what a girl is where, a boy does not have the right to rape her.
