Christmas with a heavy heart / myLot

I made my big turkey dinner for my son and I. The dog and cats had a great meal. I nursed my broken heart over my boyfriend who just dumped me Christmas Eve. He has been seeing another woman. Our life of 16 years together, means less that the affair with the other woman. She has a car and he is handicapped so she can take him where he needs to go. I don't have a car. I thought he had more integrity than that but I guess I never really knew him. I thought we would be together forever, What a romantic fool I am.

Remember this post when the little lizard comes crawling back to you. It's hard to lose him but it reads like he wasn't worth keeping if he threw it all away so lightly.

@winterose what you saw was worth keeping, but it sounds like he was actually pretending to be worth keeping. trash can pretend to be treasure, but it doesn't make it true. I once thought someone was treasure, and found out he was cheating trash. This does not make me any less awesome. He was the loser who didn't know what he had. you did nothing wrong. he did.

What a jerk. Not only that he did it to you on Christmas, but after all these years he went behind your back. I really feel for you - my ex cheated on me as well. But this too shall pass, and like me you will move on.

sounds like you are better off in the long run, better learn he isn't the honest and faithful type now rather than later. Still hurts are hurts, so one day, one moment at a time!
