Ruth Rendell R.I.P.

Went to the library yesterday to return some extremely overdue books. Was thrilled to see a new book by one of my favorite writers Ruth Rendell AKA Barbara Vine. Later that evening I pick it up and notice several reviews referring to this being her last book. I assumed that meant she'd be writing more as Barbara Vine. Then I googled her; she died 5/2/15. Wow, it was like losing an acquaintance. Not someone close obviously, but someone you spent time with occasionaly. She was one of the great human nature, common sense, and surprises murder mystery writers.
