How many of your discussions made it to the top of HOT section?

I started using myLot recently and I'm just curious to know about how people manages to get their discussions into the 'hot' section here. How many of your posts did reach the hot section? What were the topics? Got any tips for a newbee? Just curious to know.

I think I have had about 5 or 6 of my discussions in the Hot section. I can't remember what they were or how I did it but obviously there was something that could relate to others.
Just read what others have to say and start taking note of what people like to talk about. Or start a discussion about a well known topic that is often spoken about offline too that you think people online here could relate to.

Mine have been there several times. Those are the discssions with the most activity (likes, responses, comments) in the shortest time after they were posted. They disappear from the section when 24 hours since they were first submitted has passed. When you post, keep the discussion active and you will soon see yours there too

I am not worried in the least whether I am on the top of the hot list or not. This isn't a competition, so thereflore. wherever they end up, really don't bother me. People do see them regardless, and that is all that matters to me. I have never had one discussion yet, that wasn't seen or responded to, and for that, I am very happy.
