I have been diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder 2 years ago and I have to say it has been hell for me these past few years. Every now and then I get this feeling that I'm about to die and it is followed by chest pains and shortness of breath. My heart seems to skip a beat and it stops me from whatever I'm doing. Sometimes I get dizzy and my legs seem to be wobbly. I was given a couple of prescriptions and it seems to help a lot most of the time. Now, I can safely say that I can control my anxiety whenever I get an attack. How about you guys, ever have the same diagnosis as me?

Does the doctor told you the causes of that disorder?

Yes, my doctor told me the cause of my disorder. It was when a traumatic experience led to a decrease of cerotonin in my brain that caused this. Low cerotonin usually leads to panic disorder.

@xtedax Oh! You are taking medications for that?

@wiLLmaH I did, about a year ago. But I stopped it, thinking that I might get immune to it at some time. I guess I'm able to control my panic attacks that's why I decided to discontinue my medication. But I might take them again in case I can't handle this dreadful disorder.

@Hatley So glad you're able to overcome your panic attack Patsie. I know the feeling of being agitated and anxious over nothing. It really puts a person off even on his/her best days. Cheers to you and to the people who helps people like us overcome this dreadful disorder.
