We have had snow for the last couple of days and now they are saying we will receive another foot of snow. This could make driving for some very difficult, the Street Superintendent is asking residents if they don't have to go out stay home. If your street is not plowed you need to call a friend with four wheel drive if you are unable to drive your car in the heavy accumulation of snow. They say they will try to get the street open as quickly as possible but even so some people will have a problem driving out of their driveway. Do you have a huge acculumation of snow? How is your weather where you are? Picture from Pixaby

I wish we would get some snow but our temps have been in the 40's. Last year we didn't get snow until February and March so maybe we will still get some this year.

So far we only have a little snow. The roads are clear as it hasn't snowed for a while.

@paigea When I was younger I loved to go ice skating and sometimes we would just go over on one of the side streets and skate in the ice there.

@Marcyaz The whole planet has changed since I was a child and now I am beginning to wonder if this actually is the same planet that I was born on.

When the storm hits the city snow ploughs return to the yard until the storm is over. I have heard from cab drivers and police patrols that they are the ones clearing the streets, not the city. It amazes me that those who live in snowy areas do not use snow tyres, we use them and they make so much difference. When the city does eventually clean our streets they cover the driveways that we have previously cleared and we have to start again.

We got 13.2 inches. More snow expected, but no more accumulation. I hope they can get the roads cleared soon.

We have yet to see our first snowflake where I live, and though I like snow, I'm glad it's been delayed so far this winter. My wife had an accident driving on snow last winter, and is definitely not looking forward to the return of the slippery stuff.

They called for a winter storm here over the last couple days. The city panicked. Laid salt down on the roads. Did everything necessary. And We barely got an inch of snow. City wasted all that money and time salting the roads! Crazy!

I think it is better to be safe than sorry as it could have come through and at least traffic would be able to move with ease. @T_gray
