Our country?

Whoopi Goldberg (on The View) said get out and vote because this is " your" country. That bothered me since I really don't feel that. Yes, I live in the US and wouldn't live anywhere else but I vote because it's politically correct. I don't have any surge of hope or faith in the system afterwards. Will the new person care how I feel about the issues, will they let me know before going to war? After Obama, who I have an emotional connection to, I could care less about who's going to become President. Same politicians, different day in America. Same spiels about jobs, the fate of the middle class, etc. Whatever is broken, they are going to fix it. (yawn)

There's nothing politically 'correct' about voting. It's the only means we the People have of firing politicians who do the bidding of "Big Money" at the expense of their Constituents. They need to feel the 'fear' for their jobs the way we fear for ours.

I, an Amercan but I d ot vote becase its poltically correct but because dumb mei ha ve always hoped that some things can be changed that who I vote for just might do some good. I do not care a fig about political correct but about hoping someone will get in as president who can make some well needed changes. Im being overly optimisic I know what ou said is only too true ut still here is always hope
