What's that old saying?

There's a saying about once you've tried something and like it, you don't want any other alternative. That's not quite it but you get the gist of it surely.
I was gifted a set of silk sheets for Christmas. It is a pretty and shimmering purple color. The first night was odd, getting used to the new texture. Now, however, I don't think I will ever go back to another type of sheets. I am looking at other colors and styles online to see about future purchases.
What is one thing that you've tried and haven't looked back from? It can be a food, a brand of tire, clothing, anything.

I've never tried them myself. It is related to the carrot isn't it?

They are definitely very comfortable. I feel as if I am sinking into the bed, and it's quite a nice feeling!
Amazon has some for around $30.

The internet lol. I remember at one time I wanted nothing to do with it, but then I found myself having to use it for various reasons, and I can't imagine not being able to interact with people from all over or without being able to look things up at a moments notice. It's an amazing convenience. Also my cell phone, while I don't actually use it that much, it's knowing that I have it when I need it. I was also against getting a cell phone at first, I figured I'd used a landline my entire life so why change it? Now I no longer use a landline lol. Technology is a blessing and a curse of course, but now it's everywhere.

That is why we should not upgrade our lifestyle unnecessarily.
Once we get used to creature comfort and the luxury that money can buy, it is hard to go back to the old way of living.
Those who are used to dine at restaurants will have a hard time adjusting to frugal meals at home.
Those who travel to exotic places for holiday will have a hard time staying home every year.

I understand where you are coming from with this. I have to say, however, that in some instances an upgraded way of doing things does not necessarily mean it can or will hurt the pocketbook. There are more frugal ways to get the creature comforts.
