I feed mine a combination of a pellet food and hamster/gerbil seeds. Also about twice a week I give them a very very small amount of some vegetable-whatever's for dinner lol. Too much/many vegetables & fruits will give them diarrhea. Also timothy or alfalfa hay is good for them as well. I usually give them a little bit of hay once a week as well. As far as what to do for winter, you don't have them outside right? They should be inside, just make sure they have lots of bedding materials & water. I have 2 hamsters, and one is active every night, the other seems like she's kind of hibernating. Not coming out as much to play on her wheel, she's a bit older too though.

You can choose a few different packets of food at your local petstore and place a little bit of each packet's food for your hamsters. See which one they prefer and then buy that packet. In winter, as it's cold, you should put more bedding for them to build nests with. Hamsters can catch colds extremely easily and it's not easy to cure them. Prevention is better than cure, remember? You may also want to cover the cage with some newspapers so the hamster cage will be warmer. Heres a hamster guide if you need it : http://www.gomestic.com/Pets/Hamster-Care.183809
