Time To Leave the Happy Conversations

For just a little while. I have Writer's Guild in under an hour and must get ready to leave. I hope this year will be better than last as I missed so many meetings last year with either being a poll worker for the elections or in the hospital, and last the car not working properly. At least I'm starting out on the right foot this year. So I'll be missing from here for a couple hours. Behave while I'm gone and I will visit you all when I get back. Thanks for reading

Yes, it's cold out there, but not as bad as it was last night when I went to pick up my son from work. It was a great meeting. I think we had four new members and one that hasn't been seen in a long time came back. We met at the library and were hunting down chairs because we had so many people show up. It was great.

A Writer's Guild is where authors, writer's, and wanna be author's get together to talk about all the aspects of writing and publishing. It's very helpful. I've learned a lot in the three years I've been part of this group. Marketing tips, editing, so many how to ideas flowing through the group. And tonight's group was bigger than usual. It would seem everybody's New Year's resolution was to get their book from idea to shelf.

Yes. We even read excerpts from them. Two people brought samples. I should have something ready for the next meeting since I will have my new computer and can actually print something up again.

@jaboUK Very helpful. You might want to look for one where you live. You have a lot to contribute with your wonderful witty poems, and they could help you get them published. I've heard you say you might want to do that.

It was lots of fun. Lots of ideas, and two people read from what they had. The talent in this group is awesome. There are a few published authors in the group.
