Candles are one of the most effective tools aimed to fulfill one's own desires and emotions which are generally lighted in front of an Alter. People will have so many ambitions and desires which require a proper outlet to place before the Almighty. What is the medium that is required for the purpose? The answer is Candles or in some religions oil lamps or some incense sticks. Whatever may be the the purpose and aim it is this medium through which we placed our wishes and petitions before the Almighty. The Candles establish a psychic link between you and the Almighty. It is not the size that is important but the intensity and the color of the candle that is important…along with the intensity of your prayer and faith. Let me touch upon this in a simple way ….instead of making it a voluminous book here. First whenever you pray lighting a candle do not be greedy and be clear in your mind and wish you ask or pray for. The God is always sympathetic and a good listener. He is also a high class Analysit. . Do not allow the negative energy rule the atmosphere through your selfish prayer and always be careful that the candle you choose is suitable and perfect in making the surroundings pure and in drivomg away the negative energy from your mind as well as from the surroundings. When I say to use suitable candle I mean to use the appropriate color of the candle that represents and magnifies the intensity of your prayer or meditation. Hence, choosing the color of a candle is very important. A black candle: is generally used to ward off evil and the negative forces from the surroundings. It represents Saturn. It is one way of pleasing the Saturn. In some religions who do not use candles, they use the black wick, made of black cloth and use gingelly oil for lighting the lamp. It is lighted especially on a Saturday. The container they use is an Iron one to derive maximum benefit. A Blue candle is used to obtain inner wisdom, harmony, and peace of mind. The other uses being peace of mind, healing, and creativity. A dark blue candle for laughter, joy, and very sensual life. It helps in getting a sound sleep and also brings affection between a husband and wife. If you want material prosperity like lands, buildings, estates, machinery, agriculture lands etc., the appropriate Color that should be used is Brown which represents mother earth. The Green candles represent prosperity, health, fertility and success in the assignments you take up. A dark Green one represents greed, selfishness, and jealousy. It is generally used as the counter attack against the negative forces. If you want to solve the highly complex issue and more determined to have them solved it is here the Grey Candle comes into play. if you want a deep meditational state free of all earthly disturbances the assistance will always be rendered by a candle having INDIGO COLOR Yellow candles for victory over enemies, a good sign for success in your dealings with others, the whole will always be with regular visitors who come and dine in a friendly atmosphere. Even the enemy will come and talk to you keeping all his enmity away. So, whenever to sit for prayer or meditation chose a candle suitable and appropriate for your wish and desire. One more point to remember is always to wear white lose fitting clothes and if at all you have to sit never sit on an empty floor. Put a mat and sit over that.
