Has El Nino affected the weather in your side?

I think this year El Nino phenomenon has affected the world already. Here is the same, but the situation is not as serious as other areas. It should be winter now but actually it had been cold for a few days only and now it is not cold and it is not even like winter. I wonder whether we will just skip the winter this year.

I believe the effect is mainly over now as winter conditions are now returning for us.

I wonder now whether Canada is as cold as before. Last night I watched news from TV and hard to believe that there is not much snow to ski in Japan.

@youless I live in close proximity to Buffalo NY and last year by this time they had been buried twice in snow, we never get as much as they do. Our local ski slopes have had a bad time, apparently they can lay snow even if there is no snowfall, but they cannot lay it when the temperature is too hot, which has been the case to date this year.

After El Nino is over, La Nina will have the opposite effect. I think those who are smart will save up more money to pay for higher utility bills next year. For me, I expect heavy rain when La Nina comes. I just hope that there is no flood.

I really hate the heavy rain. It spoils the mood since we have to stay indoors.

Yes, El Nino is currently here in Southern California! It is raining ongoing and tons of flooding in some areas of the streets!
