America's Unknown Child

I know a lot of people here are from America and I want to know if you heard about the case of the america's unknown child. A child murdered in Philadelphia almost fifty years ago but still unsolved. Does any of you have an idea to share about this story? I want to hear it. It even has a website and I spent time reading all the possible scenario. I feel sorry for the child. I hope the murderer could get what he deserved. Do you think the police were hiding something? The foster home seemed to be connected with the child.

Pennsylvania is the State, Philadelphia is a city within the State.
I don't know of this particular case. Unfortunately there have been too many that are similar, a missing child found murdered but then it ends in a cold case.

I feel sorry for the children. I'm glad there is a society that is trying to solve cold cases like this missing american child to help the police, the Vidocq society but until now, it still remains a mystery.

@olivetree27 It is really sad to hear about senseless violence. I am just glad there is technology now that can help solve the mysteries of what happened. It atleast gives the family closure when they are able to find out what happened.

@akalinus Yes, they are! I find the story very suspicious and I feel sorry for the couple. I hope someday the real story will be revealed to the remaining family members. I heard one of the sisters is still alive. I see that you're also interested in mysteries and unsolved cases.

I am going to search this. I think I read a similar story years ago, but not sure it was the same. Thanks for bringing it up. It is known as the boy in the box. That may jog a lot of people's memories because you see something about it on the internet every so often.

The boy in a box is such a sad story, if they had DNA and other technology back then it would have been solved. I think.
