I have been thinking about it lately that what actually motivates us in our work place other than money? or, Is it really only money for which we are working? Honestly, i do work for money that is my priority but i like my work its very interesting and i love it. I cannot do anything else than that! And of course mylot.. I joined it for earning something but now i feel incomplete without spending time on it. what are your views on this? do you work for money alone?

Love and passion for a job or career path is what I think motivates people in general, If one loves their job it does not feel like work. The money is just the extra incentive.

I think job satisfaction plays a part in motivating people to work as well. Those that work just for the money usually end up being miserable.

satisfaction is the word! you are right if anyone is satisfied from the job he/she has than nothing more is needed.

Well, I may not be passionate with my current job but I like it even if I'm getting little compared to my peers. I don't think it's only money that motivates a worker,. To some, it's about the people that you're working with. My bosses respect me and I think that's important too.

@righttotheheart I'm passionate about writing and would've love to be paid for it but I have to be practical because writing jobs in my country is not paying well. I still get to do what I love while in this work. But I need this job too to pay for bills Hopefully, someday, I get to do what I love fulltime.

respect is obviously an important factor but if you are not passionate about this job you should do what you like more.. just a suggestion!
