Buddhism Vs. Taosim

Buddhism was born in Nepal and India and later spread to China and then rest of the world. Taoism was born in China. Buddha and the Taoist master Lao Tse are more or less belong to the same time period. Buddhism emphasize in liberation and in Taoism emphasize in following "the way" of life.
