Homosexuality is nothing to be ashamed of..

Liking/Loving someone is everybody's personal choice and no one can force liking or hatred on anyone! I don't know why people are not ready to accept the truth and are, rather trying to modify it.. You won't believe what came up today.. So basically, i work for a legal firm.. There was this case which came up- A girl filed a case of mental cruelty and fraud against her husband and his family members reason being they hide the fact that the guy is a gay. We are from the accused side so we asked guy's family to tell us the truth on which his mother's response was.. '' whatever it takes we are ready to pay but please do not disclose the fact that our son is a gay or else we won't be able to marry him again to some other girl which will lower our dignity in the society.'' Her son was irritated and sad at the same time but can't do much about it. Woww now they are ready to spoil the life of another girl but are not ready to accept their son being homosexual. Hats off to them!!

I think this is a shame all the way around. The young man should be able to live his life the way he wants. The parents should be ashamed for trying to lure another girl in to marry their son, knowing that he is gay. They should be proud of who their son is, not embarrassed by it.

@simone10,And if they can't be proud of their son, they should at least take it easy. They should allow him to live as a gay.

Why should a gay marry a girl and spoil her life,in the first place. If one is a gay,one should be brave enough to accept it.Our society does not accept homosexuality. My question is,is it not unnatural?

@GreatMartin But what about the girl he married?I know a boy here. He's a gay and everybody knows he's a gay.His parents are insisting him to marry, but he has refused saying that he didn't like to spoil the girl's life.We often see this boy in the company of males.

@else34 Seems the parents won't accept it and though he is wrong agreeing to the marriage he may not want the consequences that can come from 'coming out' which can be lethal!!

"hats off to them"???? I hope you are being sarcastic. As a gay man I feel it is unfair for the gay man and the woman to get married--even if she knows!!! I don't know the situation in India but for far too long gay men got married to 'fool' family, boss and society!! Yes he wanted kids and he knew a married family man advanced faster in business and being gay he could be shunned by those around him. Most gay men I know who got married for any of those reasons eventually divorce causing many problems for him, her and the children. Then there is the discussion of arranged marriages! :O)

Hats off? Why are you saying that? This expression is used only when someone has done something positive.

I think it's being used sarcastically in this instance. That's how I took it, anyway.

Sorry to say it but your country is a good 50 years behind much of the world in attitudes to homosexuality. The idea of ruining another girl's life in order to keep their 'dirty secret' is just unforgivable and ought to be illegal.

see you cannot blame the whole country, just because of some people's lower mentality my country should not be blamed! And yes ruining another girl's life is definitely a dirty mentality!
