Sweetcorn at my door step

I had sown a couple of sweetcorn seeds expecting nothing but I see results. Three little cobs are showing up. Moral of the story. When one expects nothing and gets it the joy is of a different kind. Have you had any pleasant surprises lately?

I love pleasant surprises. I found some money in an old winter jacket the other day. lol :-)

I have got such surprises too. I had a 100 dollar bill with me and thought I had lost it until I found it while cleaning the cupboard.

What a good surprise! I used to live in a farm and be able to plant our own food. But living in the city now made it impossible.

I do have a lush green garden with fruit trees and all but when it comes to growing vegetables they just evade me (lol)

I have had beans and cucumbers growing on my terrace now.. I didn't expect much.. but they seem to be doing pretty well. I get a few cucumbers a week.. and I am happy.

It is so satisfying when we get our own yield. I am not so successful with vegetables though.

@allknowing It sure is satisfying.. This is my first time with gourds, beans and potatoes. I am thrilled to say the least.
