I went out saturday evening with the gf to a local chinese restaurant and the topic of the (then) 900 million powerball lotto came up. Neither of us bought tickets and were talking in "What If" scenarios if one of us did buy a ticket and actually won. Right away she said that she wouldn't quit her job, but it would give her financial security knowing that if she ever got tired of work that she could either quit and look for another job or just take some time off. After that, she wasn't so sure about what to buy beyond a better car. For me, lotto taxes and debts. Try to get the government off my back as much as possible. Then i'd investigate as to how I can get the money to start making money off the winnings. Investing or franchising in a business or maybe starting a small one. Anyways, at the end of the meal, when our bill was brought to us, we were given four fortune cookies. The first fortune I opened was in line with the conversation and it read, "You have strong potential for financial success.", also included were the typical lotto numbers underneath. Too much of a coincidence? Too vague? My gf has convinced me to go ahead and play the numbers out of curiosity. I saw that no one won this past saturday and that its now at $1.3 Billion ! Holy F@@K ! I'm definitely buying a couple of tickets for wednesdays draw. Two fortune cookie lotto numbers equals two powerball tickets. I know i'm not going to win, but it's worth a shot- right? -I've included a photo of the "financial success" fortune cookie and yes, I blurred out the numbers-

its just a coincidence, but if i actually won, id be afraid to claim the money. I wonder as to just how high it could possibly get.
