I have always enjoyed organizing parties and also creating my own games. For this kids' party I included the game 'passing the hat' with a twist. There were many hats passed and when the music stopped those who were eliminated were not necessarily those with hats but different parameters were used. Sometimes it would be a few from the left of those who had those hats, sometimes those on the right and so on. This twist gave the participants a different kind of excitement. Do you create your own games too?

It sounds like an exciting game. Thank you for the idea. I will use that the next time I throw a party at home.

Not too many that I hosted. And the ones I did, I was more busy and tired doing the cooking. They want my cookery skills to test. Back during college days, parties only meant dining, drinking and some entertainment - maybe songs and dance (antakshari with dance) or even some mimicry etc. Back then, party did not need to have games.. unlike today.

I don't think I am creative enough to come up with games. But that sounds really neat.
