R.I.P. Alan Rickman

Alan Rickman, known for his many roles, and especially Professor Severus Snape from Harry Potter, died today of cancer at the age of 69.
His death adds to a growing list of celebrities who died since the first of the year and days after David Bowie on Monday, also 69.

he was good in some other things too, Dogma, die Hard (I swear Hans Gruber was just a blond Snape lol), and yes, was quite sad!

I saw the names of the other movies he had been in, but hadn't seen those. I do remember seeing him in something, he was quite a bit younger I think. The only thing I recognized about him was his voice and then I took a long hard look at the actor and could finally recognize him. Sometimes movie parts change how an actor looks that you can't easily recognize them.

Harry Potter is my all-time favorite book series and There isn't an actor in the world who could have portrayed snape better or even as well as he did. He played the character exactly the way I imagined professor snape when I first read the sorcerer's stone.

I'm now reading The Order of the Phoenix. I've seen all the movies and now I'm reading the books. I like the books better, but I agree, he did an excellent job as Professor Snape.
